VICTORIA JACKSON

Vic began her optical career at Scarboros opticians, moving to Boots in the early 90s where she trained as a dispensing optician.

At the time, Boots had a reputation for good customer service; so there was no surprise when the Boots head office team recognised her skills and promoted Vicky to manager of the in-store practice in Colchester. Her skills for customer service shone and she steered the Colchester branch to best Boots opticians’ practice of the year.

One of her team was a locum optometrist, Gavin Rebello, now partner at Patrick and Menzies who says of Vicky, “When you meet her [Vicky], you are confronted by an enthusiasm and expertise for customer service and finding the right style of frame for the patient. She makes the process of choosing spectacles enjoyable and marries up the fashion side and clinical side seamlessly.

It made sense, when I joined Patrick and Menzies to encourage Vicky to also join the team, which I am pleased to say, she did in 1999”.
