GET TO KNOW...
NATASHA RATHE
JOB TITLE: Dispensing Optician.
WHAT DO YOU DO: I advise patients on frame choice and lens options so that they can get the most out of their vision.
I wear a strong short-sighted prescription, with astigmatism and so throughout my life glasses have played their part. That coupled with previously working for an independent opticians in Fleet Street where we looked after discerning (celebrity) clients wanting high quality fashionable frames, means that I love the challenge of getting glasses to look their best.
I am also responsible for processing the NHS paperwork, checking the specialist colorimetry tints and can teach patients how to insert and remove their contact lenses.
BEST THING ABOUT THE JOB: The smile on someone’s face when they see the results of our expertise and hard work. Your eyes say a lot about you and spectacles can have a huge impact. |
