CHILDREN FROM CHERNOBYL GET EYE CHECK IN BRAINTREE
Millions of people continue to live in the area affected by the Chernobyl disaster, and deaths, particularly from thyroid cancer, have increased dramatically. It is believed that Chernobyl released up to 200 times more radiation into the atmosphere than the combined bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.*
The support given by Patrick and Menzies has not gone un-noticed. BBC Essex interviewed the children on the Dave Monk show; and Charlotte Andrews, Optometrist, was interviewed about her work helping the children's sight.
