P&M Take Home Top Awards
We were winners at the Colchester Business Awards winning Excellent Customer Service and the Business Man of the Year.
We won Excellent Customer Service Award again and was proudly collected by Angela, Sarah M and Sarah T our team at West Mersea. West Mersea manager, Paul Dobson comments;
"Our ethos has always been to treat people as we would want to be treated ourselves. Where you eyesight is concerned our customers want someone that gives expert trustworthy advice at every visit and products that offer quality and value for money. We grow the business by word of mouth and so we have to make sure we offer excellent service and our customers are happy."
Partner Gavin Rebello was awarded Business Man of the Year. Judges David King and Janice Dixon of Larking Gowen commented;
"The mark of a great performer in most fields is the ability to extract that something extra from an activity that others would regard as commonplace.
In the business field, this can manifest itself as diversification around a core activity or viewing a trade or profession in a new light.
Many businesses faced with a slow economy and increased national competition would batten down the hatches and wait for it to blow over, but this is not the way with this year's winner.
Gavin Rebello has taken his business in a variety of different directions, made use of the latest technology and found new directions and specialisms in what many would see as a traditional profession.
Added to this, the attack on his sector by national practices with multimillion pound marketing budgets has seen him take his team away from the "supermarket" end of the profession, treating his customers as valued individuals and simply overwhelming anything in his way with his quiet and determined enthusiasm to do something exceptional"

We are also experts in finding frames to suit and enhance your look. We can even help you design your own frame, offering a bespoke hand made service.
It is a great honour that business experts recognise what we are doing, flying the flag high, for small independent businesses. Traditional respectful customer service and value for money, in conjunction with 21st century technology and expertise means that we continue to succeed by word of mouth alone – in my mind, the true measure of a business.
